I fell in love with an illustration I made and wanted to find a way to animate it. I thought that it would be a good idea to try modeling and animating the illustration in cinema 4D.
Goals:
-Getting the animation to loop                                  -Make the movement dynamic
-Capture the Illustration                                             -feel 2D

I fell in love with this illustration after I created it and knew that I just had to do something with it.
I took my illustration in to cinema 4D and modeled it. Trying to get the model as close as I could to the image. Then began to make solid color materials, so that it would look closer to the illustration.
Placed the car on to a spline and put a follow the spline tag on the object so that it would move the way I wanted it.
This next step is where I started to have some problems, because I knew I wanted the animation to look 2D. So my first thought was to place the camera on the right side of the car. But doing this took away a lot of the dynamic quality I was looking for in the animation.

So I changed the camera to the front of the car and made the camera retract as the car is moving. But this also created its own problems, I would need to end the animation on the same speed, angle, and placement manually because it was no longer looping automatically. Also the car would move so drastically it would leave the frame, so I widened the frame and moved the camera back farther.
